About Ceado

About Ceado — Designing Flavor

Heritage

Founded in 1952 by Egidio Girardi and still family-owned, Ceado is an Italian manufacturer that engineers and assembles its equipment in Spinea, near Venice. Today the company is led by Paolo Girardi, alongside Michele. For over seventy years Ceado has merged artisanal care with cutting-edge technology, building grinders and brewers that elevate both flavour and workflow.

Designing Flavor

Ceado's philosophy is simple: equipment should make the raw material taste better. That means burr designs and anti-static engineering that cut fines, lower retention and protect clarity — so every cup expresses the bean as fully as possible, whether it's a competition espresso or a French press at home.

WBC 2026–2027

Ceado is proud to be the Qualified Espresso Grinder Sponsor for the World Barista Championship 2026–2027, with the Rev Zero and E37Z-Naked grinders carrying the official WBC logo.

Some brands you take on. Ceado, I joined forces for.

I first met Cosimo Libardo — now Ceado's Head of Sales — years ago during his time in Australia with Cerebos, and we've been friends ever since. Cosimo is one of those rare people who seems to know every single person in the coffee industry. Whenever we're in the same city we end up café-hopping; other times he's been a guest at my place, out on the balcony, talking all things coffee and life. Over the last twenty years of walking the trade-show floors in Italy, I also became close with the Girardi family — with Paolo Girardi, who runs Ceado today. Ceado is a brand I genuinely believe in: Italian, family-owned since 1952, and obsessed with one thing — designing flavour.

At the same time, my good friend Adam Genovese, Managing Director of Genovese Coffee, was already bringing Ceado into Australia. So rather than compete, we did the sensible thing — we sat down over lunch and decided to join forces. That's why you'll find Ceado at both Coffee Parts and Genovese: two importers who believe in the same brand, working together to bring it to Australian baristas and roasters properly.
